Kondo Koi Farm – Fish from their own bloodline
This Koi Farm is located in Aichi Prefecture, and Kondo has gained worldwide fame due to the beautiful patterns he has in his koi. He is also known as the king of maruten – maruten is the spot on the koi’s head. The fish are subtle and refined and have a beautiful, healthy body. Kondo mainly breeds kohaku, sanke, and showa with that beautiful characteristic maruten spot.
That Kondo is a great breeder is evident from his ability to create his own bloodlines. Although Kondo has incorporated elements from famous breeders like Isa in his showa and SFF and Dainichi in his kohaku, he has still created his own unique bloodlines. His ongoing quest for perfection in both patterns and beni has led to koi that are considered typical Kondo bloodlines. Many of his parent fish were bred by him, and he has been producing koi of exceptional quality for years.
